Tohnichi NTD Preset Type Torque Screwdriver

In order to use the torque driver properly and safely,please read the instructions before operation.If there are any questions,please contact a Tohnichi authorized distributor or Tohnichi sales office. Keep these Operating Instructions for future use.

Operating Procedure
Torque Setting
Hold the grip of the Driver in your hand,insert Adjusting Bar into the slit of Adjusting Screw and turn Adjusting Bar. When turning Adjusting Screw clockwise, torque will increase. Use TDT3-G torque driver tester to set the desired torque. (Adjusting Bar is optional accessory.)
Insert the bit into the adapter of the Driver. (Select the required bit from the table for bits.)
Insert the tip of the bit into slit of screw head.
Turn the Torque Driver clockwise to tighten.
Tightening is completed when a click is felt.
􀋞 RNTD model is rotary slip clutch type.
􀋞 NTD:When reaching the set torque, the break is felt by hand in 15 degrees. Stop and complete the tightening work within the 15 degrees.

Features
Preset Limiting Torque Screwdriver (Non-rotary slip)
Preset style is ideal for applications which require the same torque value such as assembly work.
Preset type has no external scale; requires adjusting key and torque tester to set torque.
Torque setting service can be requested for a nominal fee.
Features enhanced reliability and durability with Tohnichi's toggle clutch torque mechanism.
Upon reaching the set torque, user will sense the limit. The tool will spring back slightly and user must stop turning.
If user continues past the limit, tool will continue to apply additional torque.
NTD is non-rotary slip. See RTD/RNTD models for rotary slip feature which prevents overtorque.
Accepts standard 1/4" root hex bits (sold separately)
NTD500CN and NTD1000CN come with an auxiliary handle.
Counterclockwise tightening model available upon request.

Applicable for international use including the EU region. Compliant with calibration procedures of ISO 6789 Type II Class E.

Notes
A torque driver tester is necessary to set the torque value. Torque setting may also be requested at time of order for a nominal fee.
Accepts Standard 1/4 Hex bits.
Green Resin grips are standard for 120CN and 260CN models only
Slide through T-Handle bar included with NTD500CN and NTD1000CN

Daily Check and Maintenance
Perform regular inspection for function and accuracy. Stop operation immediately if there is any sign of abnormality.Refer all servicing to your Tohnichi dealer. Since professional repair is required,contact your Tohnichi dealer for repair service.Do not attempt to repair the Torque Driver yourself. When storing the Torque Driver for a long time,keep in a dry place.

Precautions when Handling
Applying more torque beyond the click will lead to over-torquing. (NTD model) Since RNTD model is rotary slip clutch type mechanism,overtorquing is eliminated. But,idle extra clicks will result in clutch engagement wearing and may shorten durability. Select a proper bit to adapt to the slit of the screw head.If the size of bit is not correct,the screw head may be damaged by the bit.
