Marking Torque Screwdriver:
The first of its kind! This innovative torque screwdriver puts an ink mark on the screw head to indicate that it has been tightening to the correct torque.
When the set torque is achieved, its integrated maker automatically puts an ink mark as evidence of proper tightening on the heads of small screws and bolts. This makes it easy to determine whether tightening has been missed by just visually confirming the presence or absence of marks.
It is common to use a pen to mark work after tightening with a torque screwdriver, but with a Tohnichi marking tool the two actions are combined into one, improving productivity and reducing the chance of error.
When set torque is achieved, marking is done automatically, eliminating the possibility of an operator otherwise forgetting to mark work.
The clearly identifiable quick drying ink mark provide evidence of tightening to the required torque, and this evidence remains even after manufacturing and shipping.
One marker (sold separately) can mark about 1,000 times. Selection of two colors: red and blue.
Marker positioning is adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of bolts and screws. (* For further details, refer to the PDF catalog.)
Lineup includes a total of 7 types of Phillips (+) and hex bits for MNTD series products. (Sold separately)
A non-rotary slip limiting torque screwdriver which is the same mechanism as Tohnichi's Models LTD/NTD series.
Markings on bolt and screw heads can be detected in image form using an industrial level CCD camera, permitting unmanned inspections.

• Do not use the product in the places with high levels of dirt or dust.
• This product includes a magnet inside its structure.
Operating Procedure
Adjustment Pre-set Torque Value
Set Tohnichi preset hook spanner into grooves of adjusting piece of MNTD grip. Adjust torque by rotating the adjusting piece in right and left. Preset torque value can be set on
Tohnichi torque screwdriver tester, TDT3-G models.
When setting torque at higher volume, bigger hand force is required for rotating. For the MNTD500CN, use an auxiliary accessory to set.
Make sure MNTD magnet sheet moves up and down smoothly when torque is applied and released. When adjusting preset value on tester with the magnet sheet off shown as NG,
set-torque will be changed.
Insert Tohnichi marker and push it until marker grabs a pin inside the groove. When adjusting height position of marker or replace the marker, remove bit from MNTD coupler.
Pull down MNTD coupler case for inserting Tohnichi original bit. The marker goes through ditch of the bit, and Marker Guide of the bit holds head of the marker.
Please hold the bit when pull down MNTD coupler case, otherwise the bit pops out.
Set MNTD on your fastening screw.
Operate MNTD as clockwise.
When MNTD clicks, your tightening work ends.
There is an idle 15 degrees after MNTD clicks and the marker is operated. No additional torque is applied in the interval, please finish your operation before exceeding 15 degrees.
