Micro-sized sensor packed with features

The CMS series has a wide overall temperature span of -20° to 1600°C and target spot sizes down to 1mm, depending on the model, particularly suit this sensor series to secondary metal processing, and the measurement of oxides and ceramic materials. The IR sensor can measure through viewport windows such as quartz, pyrex, glass and sapphire. Additionally the stainless steel IR sensing head is able to withstand ambient temperatures of up to 85ºC (185°F) without cooling.

The PSC-CMS sensor's ultra-compact design makes it the perfect choice for custom application requirements in a range of industries, including:

The PSC-CMS is also suitable for many OEM applications due to its compact design and flexible integration options.

A wide variety of functionality provided by the embedded PC board within the sensor head cable include: scalable analog outputs of 0-1, 0-5, 0-10VDC and alarm. Programmable parameters include emissivity and window transmissivity, peak and valley hold, averaging, response time and adjustment to a sub- temperature range.

Process Sensors' PSC Connect Software with USB connection supports sensor set-up, multi-tasking, graphic display of temperature trends and data logging, and basically allows the user to customize the sensor to the application.
